Note: Intel
®
Server Boards support add-in peripherals and contain a number of high-density
VLSI and power delivery components require proper airflow for cooling. Intel develops and tests
chassis so when they are used with Intel
®
server building blocks, the integrated system will
meet component thermal requirements. If Intel components are not installed, it is the
responsibility of the system integrator to consult vendor datasheets and operating parameters to
determine the air flow requirements for their specific application and environmental conditions.
Intel Corporation cannot be held responsible if components fail or the server board does not
operate correctly when used outside of the published operating parameters.
8.2 Baseboard Power Requirements
This section reviews the power supply design guidelines for a system with an Intel
®
Server
Board S5500BC. The voltage and current specifications and power supply on/off sequencing
characteristics are provided.
