Description
The Integra® Miltex® Integrator
™
Chiropractic Adjusting Instrument is a
hand-held device used for the purpose of adjustment of the Vertebral
Subluxation Complex. The Integrator Chiropractic Adjusting Instrument
is designed with a multidirectional force setting to allow the clinician to
select axial, axial/counter clock-wise and axial/clockwise torsional force
as well as tip-trigger for device activation.
Indications for Use
The Integra Miltex Integrator Chiropractic Adjusting Instrument is
intended to adjust the cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral, and coccygeal
vertebrae subluxations, as well as adjustments of the ilium, and
extremities.
Contraindications

Warnings
• This device is to be used specifically by a licensed Chiropractor
trained in Torque Release Technique®, and all usage and safety
requirements specific for this instrument.
• DO NOT Sterilize. Sterilization may damage parts of the device.
• DO NOT disassemble the device. No Lubrication is required.
• DO NOT submerge or saturate the device with water or solvents.
• DO NOT dry fire the device. This device must only be activated
with human surface contact; as failure to do so will lead to
improper device function.

Use of an instrument for a task other than that for which it is
intended could result in a damaged or broken instrument, or one
which provides an unsatisfactory performance.

Instruments should be handled and operated by personnel
completely familiar with their use.

Inappropriate use of instruments will lead to damage that is
usually not repairable.

Instruments must be thoroughly inspected upon receipt and
prior to use to assure proper functioning. Failure to make a
complete inspection to assure proper operation and function of
instrument may result in unsatisfactory performance.

Prior to each use, inspect the product for: loose, bent, broken,
cracked, worn, or fractured components.
•
Do not use the product if it is damaged or defective.
•
The surface and tips of the device may be cleaned by wiping
down with a surface disinfectant.

Instructions for Use
This device is to be used specifically by a licensed Chiropractor trained in
Torque Release Technique®, and all usage and safety requirements specific
for this instrument.
1. The directional force should be set to one of the three available
positions: axial, counter clockwise and axial or clockwise and
axial. The selection is dependent upon the desired treatment
to be administered. The setting selection is accomplished by
turning the treatment end to align one of the three detents
on the treatment end to the adjacent reference detent: center
detent = axial, left detent = counterclockwise, right detent
=clockwise.
2. The magnitude of the force is adjusted by turning the rear
tension palm handle: clockwise increases the force and counter
clockwise reduces the force.
3. The Integrator Chiropractic Adjustment Instrument is placed
into the hand administering the treatment with the palm handle
in the palm and the index and middle fingers grasping the clutch
handle. The device is then cocked by pulling the clutch handle
towards the palm of the hand. The instrument is ready for use.
4. While holding the center of the device between thumb and
index finger, press the tip of the Integrator against the target
treatment area to fire the instrument.
Note: The palm handle should not make contact with the user’s hand
while firing the device, to avoid premature instrument failure.
Prior to use, the Integrator may be test fired onto a padded treatment
table to determine if additional adjustments are needed to the device
settings prior to patient use. It is not recommended to test fire the
device on a hard surface or into the air as these actions may damage the
internal mechanics of the device.
