6. Click the radio button next to the
Obtain an IP
address automatically
option.
7. Click the radio button next to the
Obtain DNS
Server address automatically
option.
8. Click
the
OK
button to save your changes.
9. Restart the PC.
The PC will automatically obtain an IP address
from the MTA 3328-2R’s built-in DHCP server
.
Once these steps have been completed, it is a good
idea to make sure that the IP address has been
assigned successfully.

To verify that the PC obtained an IP address:
1. Click
the
Start
button and select
Programs:
Accessories: Command Prompt
.
A command prompt window displays
.
2. At the command prompt, type
ipconfig
and
then press the
Enter
key.
The PC’s IP address should be within the
default range of 192.168.99.100 to
192.168.99.199.
If it does not have an IP address
within that range, repeat the steps for
Configuring Your PC for DHCP
above.
3. Close the command prompt window.

Logging into the Web Management Tool
Now that your PC has obtained an IP address from the
MTA 3328-2R’s DHCP server, the next step is to log
into the Web Management tool to configure the WAN
interface settings.
To log onto the Web Management tool:
1. From a PC connected to the MTA 3328-2R’s
LAN port, open a Web browser.
