Slide the Cooling module out of the enclosure (see
Figure 4–5
).

Inserting the Module

Slide the retaining brackets up or down, depending on the location of the cooling module to be installed,
until they are clear of the sides of the Cooling module.

Slide the Cooling module fully into the enclosure. A slight resistance will be felt as the connector pushes
home and the rear face of the tray will be flush with the rear members of the enclosure.

Return the retaining brackets to the centre position and tighten the securing screws.

for full information on installing the various I/O module types.
4.7.3.1
Removing the Module
Warning
Do not remove the I/O module unless you have a replacement unit ready for insertion. The system
must not be run without all units in place.

Loosen the screws securing the retaining bracket and slide the bracket downwards, until it is clear of the
side of the I/O module (see
Figure 4–6
).
