DHW request for instant boilers.
Following closure of the DHW flow switch (S4) the burner
ignites in the same way as the central heating mode.
When the flame has been detected, the fan speed is increased
in a way to immediately reach (
if requested
) the maximum
adjusted value.
Successively, modulation takes place with reference to the
difference between the temperature set using the DHW tem-
perature selector switch and the temperature detected by the
DHW sensor (B2).
With selector switch S9 present (closed = fixed off):
When the DHW probe (B2) measures a temperature of 65
°C the K3 relay contact is opened (
burner switch-off
). It is
closed again when the temperature drops to 64 °C (
burner
ignition
).
With selector switch S9 absent (
open = solar function)
:
the boiler is prepared to receive pre-heated water from a system
of solar panels up to a maximum temperature of 65°C.
In the case of use with higher temperatures it is recommended
to install a mixing valve on the hydraulic circuit upstream
from the boiler.
When the water exiting the boiler is at the same temperature as
that set by the DHW selector switch (DHW set-point +5°C),
the burner is switched off.
If the outlet temperature increases (
for more than 5 seconds
) or
does not fall below the DHW set-point (+4 °C) in 10 seconds,
the pump is also switched off.
The boiler is kept in the DHW status, displayed on the boiler
control panel.
The boiler will exit the solar mode when the active withdrawal
is terminated or when the temperature decreases (+2°C) with
respect to the DHW set-point.
Independently from the presence of the DHW mode selector
switch (S9), if during functioning the central heating flow
probe (B1) measures a temperature exceeding 80 °C, the fan
speed is decreased and adjusted to maintain a flow temperature
of 80 °C.
If this exceeds 90 °C, the K3 relay contact is opened, which is
closed again when the temperature drops to 80 °C again.
DHW request for boilers with storage tank
(op-
tional if the Storage tank unit coupling kit is installed).
If the temperature detected by the DHW NTC probe (B2)
positioned on the storage tank is lower than that set using the
DHW temperature selector switch, the integrated P.C.B. po-
wers the motor (M) of the 3-way valve (M30) by means of the
contact of the K4 relay. This goes into the DHW position and
simultaneously, by means of the K2 relay contact, powers the
pump (M1). If the contact of the switch (S40) is closed (
circu-
lation/water flow rate in the primary circuit higher than minimum
value
), the low voltage circuit starts the fan (M20). Successively,
burner ignition takes place during the CH mode.
When the flame has been detected, the fan speed is increased
in a way to immediately reach (
if requested
) the maximum
adjusted value.
Successively, flame modulation takes place with reference to
the difference between the temperature set using the DHW
temperature selector switch and the temperature detected by
the DHW probe (B2).
When the temperature measured by the DHW probe (B2) ex-
ceeds the value requested (
set temperature
), the K1 and K3 relay
is opened (
burner switch-off
) and after the post-functioning
time also relay K2 (
pump
).
When the temperature of the DHW contained in the storage
tank drops by 3°C with respect to the temperature set by the
DHW temperature selector switch, the K1 and K3 relays are
closed again in order to start a new ignition cycle.
If, during functioning, the flow probe (B1) measures a tem-
perature exceeding 90°C, the contact of relays K1 and K3 are
opened, which are closed again when the temperature drops
to 75°C.
Central heating anti-freeze request.
When the temperature detected by the CH flow probe (B1)
falls below 4 °C, the board gives consent for ignition and keeps
the generator working with the burner at minimum output
until a boiler temperature equal to 30 °C is reached
(radiators
anti-freeze).
N.B.:
The function is active with the main switch (S2) in
(summer)
or
(winter)
position
.
DHW anti-freeze request.
If the temperature detected by the DHW probe (B2) falls
below 4 °C, the board gives consent for boiler ignition and
keeps the generator working with the burner at minimum
output until a temperature of 10 °C is reached. Post-circulation
is then activated in the central heating mode with duration
of 60 seconds.
During functioning, the water in the primary circuit remains
below 42 °C as on reaching this temperature the board switches
the burner off.
N.B.:
The function is active with the main switch (S2) in
(summer)
or
(winter)
position
.
"Chimney sweep" request.
With the boiler in
position (Stand-by), turn the main
switch (S2) to the Reset position for at least 8 seconds (
the
"chimney sweep" symbol will appear on the display
).
On its
release the board will give consent for ignition of the gene-
rator and keeps it working for the duration of 15 minutes at
the power determined by the position of the CH adjustment
selector switch (
notch N° 9 corresponds to maximum output,
notch N°0 corresponds to minimum output
).
The function is signalled by the flashing "chimney swe-
ep" symbol and the code “E07” on the CAR display (
if
mounted
).
Only the limit thermostat function performed by the CH
sensor (B1) is respected in this mode (
90 °C for CH tempera-
ture range 25 °C - 85 °C and 55 °C for CH temperature range
25 °C - 50 °C)
.
The "chimney sweep" function is only introduced if there are
no DHW or anti-freeze requests in progress.
It can be cut-off by removing the power supply to the circuit,
taking the main switch to the (Stand-by) position or after
15 minutes.
