Integrated P.C.B.
Inside the control panel the boiler is equipped with a P.C.B.
with integrated microprocessor for control of the appliance's
electric devices, which takes care of linear modulation of
burner power.
The display shows the status and functioning mode of the
appliance, indicating any intervention of the safety devices,
with which it is supplied.
The P.C.B. supplied with all models, whether with storage
tank or instant (VICTRIX X 24 2 I, VICTRIX 26 2 I) is the
same.
The different type of boiler functioning is recognised
automatically by means of the appliance's wiring.
The integrated P.C.B. is always powered independently from
the selection made on the main switch (S2).
Operation.
Central heating request.
The main switch (S2) in “WINTER" position enables fun-
ctioning in the CH mode.
On closure of the room thermostat contact (S20), the inte-
grated P.C.B. powers the boiler pump (M1) by means of the
contact of the K2 relay. The motor (M) of the 3-way valve
is powered simultaneously through the diversion of the K4
relay contact (M30). The motor functions until the limit
switch "2" opens in when the central heating position has
been reached.
If the contact of the system flow switch (S40) is closed (
circu-
lation/water flow rate in the primary circuit above the minimum
value
) and if the temperature detected using the central heating
flow NTC probe (B1) is lower than that set on the control
panel with the central heating potentiometer, the low voltage
circuit starts the fan (M20) and successively closes the contact
of the K3 relay request.
This makes sure the ignition is powered (G2), which allows
to start the ignition cycle by powering the ignition electrodes
(E1).
In the meantime, the low voltage circuit excites the relay K1
causing the closure of the 2 contacts, which with the consent of
the flue safety thermofuse (E14), exchanger safety thermofuse
(E13) and the overheating thermostat (E4), power both the
coils of the gas valve (Y1).
During the ignition phase the fan works at a speed equal to the
half of the difference between the maximum set speed and the
minimum set speed (
see heat output adjustment
).
The ignition of the burner is detected by the integrated P.C.B.
by means of the ionisation electrode (E2).
In the first seconds after flame presence detection, fan speed is
taken to minimum, after which the speed is varied (
modulated
)
in a directly proportional manner to the difference between the
temperature set using the CH selector switch and that detected
by the CH flow probe (B1) and, if necessary, in 8.5 minutes it
reaches the maximum adjusted value (
maximum output
).
When the set temperature is exceeded (+5°C) the K3 relay
contact is opened with consequent switch off of the burner.
Re-ignition for the same request is prevented for 180 seconds,
which can be reduced to 30 seconds by operating on the rele-
vant jumper "S7" (
see central heating timer selector switch
).
Every time the burner switches off the fan functions at mini-
mum speed for 55 seconds.
