If the bars to be machined have a diameter
equal to or only slightly smaller than the bar-
pusher diameter, without replacing the guide
channels and the bar feeder, bar rear ends
should be machine-turned to allow the collet
hold.
INFORMATION:
assuming the lathe spindle bar
capacity is adequate, and if the
appropriate diameter guide channels and bar pusher are installed, there is no
need to turn the rear end of the bars.
