Resetting
Occasionally, erroneous information may be
displayed� This may be caused by static electricity or
by other factors�
If this problem occurs, turn OFF the transceiver� After
waiting a few seconds, turn ON the transceiver again�
If the problem still exists, perform a
Partial reset
�
If the problem still exists after performing a Partial
reset, perform an
All reset
�
NOTE for the All reset:
After performing an All
reset, you cannot use the DR function because
the Repeater List contents are also cleared� We
recommend you save the setting data onto a
microSD card, or to your PC using the CS-52
programming software
before performing an All
reset� After the All reset is finished, load or write the
saved data into your transceiver�

Partial Reset
A Partial Reset resets the operating settings to their
defaults without clearing the following:
• Memory Channel contents
• Call Channel contents
• Radio Memory contents
• Scan Edge contents
• Message data
• GPS memory contents
• Call sign memories
• DTMF memory contents
• Repeater list
• Bluetooth pairing list
• Opening picture
[MENU] > SET > Others > Reset >
Partial Reset
1� Push [MENU]�
2� Select “Others” in the “SET” menu�
3� Select “Reset�”
4� Select “Partial Reset�”
• The confirmation dialog is displayed�
5� Select “YES�”
• “PARTIAL RESET” is displayed, and then the display
automatically returns to the default screen�

All Reset
An All reset clears all data and returns all settings to
their factory defaults� Memory channel contents, filter
settings, and so on will all be cleared, so you will need
to rewrite your operating settings unless you have a
backup�

The Bluetooth pairing list and opening picture are not
deleted�
[MENU] > SET > Others > Reset >
All Reset
1� Push [MENU]�
2� Select “Others” in the “SET” menu�
3� Select “Reset�”
4� Select “All Reset�”

5� Select “YES�”
• “ALL RESET” is displayed, and then the display
automatically returns to the default screen�
