Power save
The power save function reduces the current drain to con-
serve battery power. This power save function can be turned
OFF, if desired.
In the default setting (“ON” selection), the power save func-
tion is activated in 1:4
(125 msec.: 500 msec.)
ratio when no sig-
nal is received for 5 sec. The ratio becomes 1:8
(125 msec.:
1 sec.)
when no signal is received for another 60 sec.

Antenna selection
This item appears only when accessing set mode from
AM or FM broadcast band, 0.495–1.620 MHz or
76.000–107.995 MHz
(differ according to version) , re-
spectively. And the selectable condition is differ ac-
cording to the selected band.
Select using antenna for the AM or FM broadcast band re-
ception independently.
• EXT : Use the antenna connected to the antenna con-
nector. (default)
• BAR : Use the internal bar antenna for AM broadcast
band reception. (This selection appears only
when accessing set mode from AM broadcast
band.)
• EAR : Use the connected earphone’s cable as the an-
tenna for FM broadcast band reception. (This se-
lection appears only when accessing set mode
from FM broadcast band.)
