Check that the following entry is in the /etc/syslog.conf configuration file:
daemon.notice /var/adm/SPlogs/SPdaemon.log

Check that the /var/adm/SPlogs/SPdaemon.log file has the correct
permissions (rw-r--r--).

Check that the error record templates for SPMON exists:
# errpt -t | grep SPMON

The SP switch problems are usually related to four main components:
• Estart
This command is executed when you want to start the switch. However this
command is not the real one; the real one resides in the primary node and is
called Estart_sw. Chapter 4, “The Switch” on page 87 describes all the
tasks accomplished by these commands, so you can check there if you face
problems related to them.
• Switch Processes
These processes must be running in all the nodes participating in the switch
network. So, always check that those processes are running in each node.
The rc.switch script starts those processes and it can be executed multiple
times if necessary.
