Speaker/fan assembly removal
Before you begin:

Read “Safety information” on page 113.

Review the information in “Before you begin” on page 29.
Note:
It is recommended that the computer be placed on its left side before
performing this service procedure. Rotate the feet in toward the computer so
they do not detatch due to the weight of the computer.
To remove the speaker, do the following:
1. Power-off the computer, if it is on.
2. Unplug the computer.
3.
Remove the cover (see “Removing the side cover” on page 48).
4. Remove the front bezel (see “Front bezel removal” on page 78).
5.
Remove the support bracket (see “Removing the support bracket assembly” on
page 48).
6. Remove all adapter cards.
