Elapsed Time Counter, Tool Change Counter
Elapsed Time Counter
SiViB Record has an elapsed time counter, which can be used e.g. for spindle operating hours.
Applying a high level (24 Volts) to Digital Input 2 (terminal 25) causes SiViB Record to count an
internal clock counter in steps of 1 second. The counter value is stored in a battery backup memory.
The counter can be read out using Record Control software an is shown in the bargraph window.
Using the setup window, the counter can be reset to 0.
Tool Cange Counter
SiViB Record has a tool change counter.
For each tool change, a pulse of minimum 200 ms duration hast to be set on digital input 3 (terminal
26).
SiViB Record counts the number of valid pulses and sores them in a battery bachup memory.
The counter can be read out using Record Control software an is shown in the bargraph window.
Using the setup window, the counter can be reset to 0.
Activation oft he counters
The functions elapsed time counter and tool change counter have to be activated first using a key in
the file Settings.ini. In the chapter [Various] use key Conters_active=TRUE. The instrument’
s counters
are always on. Therefore reset them to 0 after activation.
Resetting the Counters:
Reset oft he counters is done in the window Instrument Setup. Use the tab “Counters”. There is a
password protection preventing unauthorized changes.
Use the same password as fort he other protected options.
