Ensure the brush cutter is switched off and 

be  sure the engine is fully stopped. 

3.3.3.

 

Insert  a screwdriver or equivalent into the back 

shield and the adaptor semicircle hole to prevent the 

output shaft from turning. 

3.3.4.

 

Loosen the nut with ‘T’ wrench by turning 

counter-clockwise (view from top), then 
remove spring washer, was her, cover cap, 
spacer and cutter blade from the output shaft. 

3.3.5.

 

Screw the trimmer head onto the shaft in an anti-

clockwise direction until tight. 

4. FUEL

Petrol is highly flammable. Avoid smoking or bringing any source of 

ignition or naked flame near fuel, this includes tools which can cause 

sparks such as grinders and drills. Before re-fueling make sure the engine 

has been stopped and allowed to cool down. Choose an outdoor area at 

least 10m from fuel storage point.

use straight unleaded fuel.

DO NOT 

use 4 stroke engine oil. 

4.3.

 

YOU MUST

 use an unleaded fuel and 2 stroke oil 

mixture.

Recommended mixing ratio is

:1. 

4.4.

 

How to mix the Petrol/Oil mixture. 

4.4.1.

 

Measure the required quantities of unleaded petrol and 2 stroke oil. 

4.4.2.

 

Put some of the unleaded petrol into an approved clean container. Mark the 

container stating that it is an unleaded petrol/2 stroke oil mixture. 

4.4.3.

 

Pour in all of the 2 stroke oil. Mix the mixture until well mixed. 

4.4.4.

 

Pour in the remaining unleaded petrol and mix well for at least one minute.
