5.6.
Whilst holding the unit firmly, quickly pull out the recoil
starter handle until the engine fires. OP4.
5.6.1.
Avoid pulling the recoil starter handle/rope to its full
extent or allow it to return by letting go of the handle.
Such actions can cause starter failure.
5.7.
Move the choke lever (1) downward (3) to open the choke,
and restart the engine. OP2.
5.8.
Allow the engine to warm up before starting work.
When restarting the engine immediately after stopping it, leave the choke open.
Over-choking can make the engine hard to start due to excess fuel.
When the engine fails to start after several attempts, open the choke and
repeat the starter handle pulling or remove the spark plug and dry the plug of
excess fuel.
5.9.
Stopping the engine.
5.9.1.
Release the throttle lever (7) and run the engine for at least ½ a minute.
5.9.2.
Then move the ignition switch to the stop position (6). OP3
5.10.
Adjusting the throttle cable.

The normal play is 1 - 2mm when measured at
the carburetor side end. Readjust with the cable
adjuster as required. (OP5).
5.11.
Adjusting the idle speed.
5.11.1.
If the machine tends to stop frequently at idling
mode, turn the adjusting screw clockwise.
5.11.2.
When the cutting head keeps rotating after
releasing the throttle trigger, turn the adjusting
screw anti-clockwise.
You must make adjustments after the engine has had time to warm up.
5.12.
Cutting (trimming) with cord.
Always wear eye protection, such as safety goggles. Never lean over
the rotating cutting head. Stones and other debris can be thrown
from the cutting head, these may be thrown towards the eyes, head
and body causing injury.
Always keep the guard in place whilst the machine is being used.
