Before removing the drive axle unit, drain
all of the oil from the axle.

Loosen hexagonal bolts connecting drive
axle to the transmission.

If there is a pit, use the pit for safety.

Jack up the machine and then put the
block under the frame.

Prepare the truck under the drive axle
unit to support it.

Remove trunnion fixing the axle to the
frame and then carefully draw the truck
out of the vehicle with the drive axle unit.
