FUEL COCK
REMOVAL
REMOUNTING
Remount the fuel cock in the reverse order of removal.
CLEANING
If the fuel filter is dirty with sediment or rust, fuel will not
flow smoothly and loss in engine power may result.
Clean the fuel filter with compressed air. Also check the
fuel cock for cracks.
Unscrew bolts of fuel cock and take off the fuel cock
assembly.
WARNING
Gasoline is very explosive. Extreme care must be
taken.
WARNING
Gaskets
must be replaced with new ones to
prevent fuel leakage.
Tighten the fuel cock bolts evenly.
Turn the fuel cock to OFF position and disconnect
the fuel hose
from the fuel cock.
Place a clean oil pan under the fuel cock assembly,
turn the fuel cock to RES position and drain the
fuel.
