To Replace Mower Blade Drive Belt
MOWER DRIVE BELT REMOVAL (Fig. 1)
1. Park tractor on a level surface. En gage parking brake.
2. Lower attachment lift lever to its lowest position.
3. Remove mandrel covers (A).
4. Remove any dirt or grass clippings which may have ac-
cumulated around mandrels and entire upper deck surface.
5. Remove nut (B) and pulley guard (C).
6. Remove spring (D) from eyebolt (E).
7. Remove belt (F) from all pulleys (G).
8. Remove the belt (F) from around the electric clutch (H) on
the engine shaft.
MOWER DRIVE BELT INSTALLATION (Figs. 2 & 3)
NOTE:
For ease in installing the deck belt, refer to the routing
decal on the cutting deck.
1. Place the belt (I) around all pulleys (J).
2. Double check belt routing to make sure it matches the
routing decal, and that the belt does not have any twist.
Correct if needed.
3. Connect spring (K) to eyebolt (L) (Fig. 3).
4. Install pulley guard and nut previously removed.
5. Adjust belt tension until spring is extended to a length of
6.5" (16,5 cm):
- Loosen inner adjustment nut (M).
- Turn outer adjustment nut (N) clockwise ( ) to
increase tension, counterclockwise ( ) to decrease
tension.
- Tighten inner adjustment nut securely.
6. Replace mandrel covers on both mandrel housings and
secure with fasteners.
