If the GE (e) port is connected to an outdoor network cable for local maintenance, you need to set the GE (e) connected to th e W eb LCT as an NMS port by using the NMS, or
configure the network adapter of the PC to enable the PC to receive and transmit IP packets carrying DCN VLAN IDs.
For the RTN 320, either the NMS/GE port or the independent NMS port can be connected to a network cable for connection to the NMS, but they cannot both be connected to
a network cable.
Use a ground clip to ground the outdoor network about 0.5 m to 1 m away from the equipment room before leading the cable into the equipment room.

W hen the OAU 2A is installed on a self-supporting tower, maintenance personnel cannot performance off-tower maintenance through W LAN, because the OAU 2A is installed at a high position.
It is recommended that an outdoor network cable be added to connect the GE/NMS port. This network cable must be to a signal surge protector to enable local maintenance indoors. During local maintenance, you can
connect a PC to the output end of the signal surge protector to access and maintain the NE using the W eb LCT.
