When you are charging your phone:
− Temperatures are high in summer, so it is normal that your phone gets overheated. Do
not use your phone when charging it.
− Do not place your phone in bed or a place with good thermal insulation. Otherwise,
the heat generated by charging cannot be well dissipated. Place your phone on a table
or other places with good heat dissipation conditions when charging it.

Other scenarios:
− Your phone has better performance, but it will generate more heat, especially when
you are playing games, having video chats, or using the camera. Your phone also gets
overheated when you are making calls or surfing the Internet in a place with weak
signals because the RF transmission power increases.
− Your phone's body is made of aluminum alloy with high thermal conductivity, so the
chip heat can be quickly dissipated through the body. Under the same temperature,
metallic body feels hotter than plastic body. Therefore, you may tend to sense that
your phone is overheated in summer, which is a normal phenomenon.
15.19 Why does my phone generate excessive heat even
when I am not using it?
For normal heat generation:
Your phone generates relatively less heat when you make phone calls and send messages with
normal signal reception and more heat when you take photos or shoot videos, play games that
consume much battery power, surf the Internet, and download images or files.
For exceptional heat generation:
If your phone generates excessive heat at a certain time or during standby time (at the center
of your phone and the frame near the power button) and the battery life is obviously shortened,
some applications in your phone are consuming extra battery power.
Solutions to exceptional heat generation:
1. Close unwanted power-intensive applications under Settings > Power saving >
Background power-intensive apps . The third-party guardian software continuously
takes up your phone's CPU resources, which may also result in excessive heat and high
power consumption.
2. Set Huawei App Center, applications, and the system not to automatically download
updates or load videos in a Wi-Fi network.
3. If the solutions 1 and 2 don't work, restart your phone.
4. If the solutions 3 doesn't work, back up important data and restore your phone to its
factory settings.
15.20 Why is my charger overheated when charging my
phone?
The temperature rise of a charger is below 25 degrees (better than the industry level), which
means that the charger temperature will not exceed 55 degrees under room temperature.
