Replacing the System Board

1

Remove the computer’s cover (described in this chapter).

2

Remove the main memory and processor from the old system board 
(described in this chapter).

3

Remove all data and power cables from the old system board.

4

Remove the old system board  by removing the screws that secure 
the board in position and lifting it out of the PC. 

5

Insert the new system board into the PC and fasten the screws to 
secure the board in place.

6

Replace all components and any data and power cables in the new 
system board (described in this chapter).

7

Replace the cover (described in this chapter).
