Power Supply Configuration
In the Configuration Menu, select Power Supply Configuration (8) to change the
indicated number of installed power supplies.
Power Supply Configuration Menu.
The router uses this information to determine when an error condition occurs. An
error or warning condition exists if the specified number of power supplies does
not match the number of system operational power supplies.
When a power supply fails with a redundant (second) power supply, the router will
issue an event notification once every three minutes, with each notification being
logged in the event log.
Note:
For systems with two working power supplies, HP recommends setting this option
to Dual Mode to allow the router to issue an event notification should one of the power
supplies fail. However, if set to Single Mode and one of the power supplies does fail,
the router will still use the second power supply but just will not issue an event
notification.
