Disk Drives

Before removing the disk drives, perform the following steps:

Remove the optional external graphics processor (if installed).

Remove the floor stand.

Open the system unit.

Disconnect the power cable and the SCSI cable from the disk drive.

For CD–ROM drives, disconnect the CD–ROM audio cable.

Figure 5–6 through Figure 5–13 show removal and replacement procedures. Refer to
the figures that are appropriate for your device.
