The paper feeder controller determines a cassette lifter motor failure according to the condition of the

related part. The paper feeder controller does not determine if the cassette pickup motor has failed;

therefore, a jam occurs when the motor fails.

500-sheet paper feeder pickup and feed operation

The pickup-and-feed operation picks up one sheet of paper in the paper feeder cassette and feeds it to

the product.
