The PLC software memory cartridge (Figure 18) contains the software necessary to
download parameters to the PLC.
To replace the memory cartridge, do the following:
•1. Press
the
Emergency Stop
button.
•2. Turn the PLC mode selector (Figure 18) counterclockwise to
STOP
.
Note:
If the memory cartridge is inserted in the PLC in a mode other than STOP, the
CPU will go into stop mode and the STOP LED will flash at 1 second intervals to
request a reset.
•3. Remove the old memory cartridge.
•4. Insert the new memory cartridge P/N CA274-00141.
Make sure that the insertion marks on the PLC and on the memory
cartridge match (Figure 18).
•5. Program the PLC as described in “Programming the PLC” below.

Resetting and initializing the memory cartridge
Reset the memory cartridge as described in this section.
Note:
Read the following procedure thoroughly before performing it. This procedure
deletes the software from the PLC and reloads it from the new cartridge.
•1. Verify that the mode selector is set to
STOP
. The
STOP
LED should be
blinking slowly.
•2. Turn the mode selector to
MRES
and hold it until the
STOP
LED blinks and
then remains ON.
Note:
If the STOP LED did not blink, or other PLC LEDs turn ON (Figure 18 – with the
exception of the BATF LED), repeat the above step.
•3. Release the mode selector. It will return to the
STOP
position. Ensure that
the
STOP
LED remains
ON
.
•4. Repeat steps 2 and 3.
•5. Turn the mode selector to
RUN-P
. The
STOP
LED turns
OFF
.
•6. Turn off the main power and wait at least 20 seconds before turning it back
on again.
