Parameters
all
: Specifies all user lines.
number1
: Specifies the absolute number of a user line. The value range is 0 to 65 in standalone
mode and 0 to 71 in IRF mode.
aux
: Specifies the AUX line.
vty
: Specifies the VTY line.
number2
: Specifies the relative number of a user line. The value ranges are as follows:
•
AUX line
—0 to 1 in standalone mode and 0 to 7 in IRF mode.
•
VTY line
—0 to 63.
Usage guidelines
To end a message, press
Enter
. To cancel a message and return to user view, press
Ctrl
+
C
.
Examples
# Before you restart the device, send a notification to VTY 1 to inform the user.
<Sysname> send vty 1
Input message, end with Enter; abort with CTRL+C:
Your attention, please. I will reboot the system in 3 minutes.

The message should appear on the screen of the user's configuration terminal, as shown in the
