NOTE:
This setting affects both the Replication-Target and the Replication-Source Appliances; no replication
can occur to or from the appliance. Any active jobs in progress when a blackout period starts will be
paused.

.
2.
Check the box next to the required day of the week.
3.
The time boxes become editable. Use the drop-down menus to select the appropriate hours.
4.
Make sure the
Apply Time Restriction to Jobs
box is checked. This ensures the times that have
been specified are enabled. If it is not checked, the times are ignored.
5.
Click

. If you now look at the Appliance tab, you will notice that the calendar for the Target
Appliance reflects the changes you have made.
Configure replication ports
You may need to configure replication ports if there is a conflict with use of the ports. If you change
the replication ports on an appliance, you must remember to update the replication ports on all other
appliances to which it is mapped.
Enable bandwidth limiting
Bandwidth limiting can be used to avoid saturating the WAN with low bandwidth replication, thus
freeing up bandwidth for other processes and applications that you may have running.
1.
Click
Edit
and check the
Bandwidth Limiting Enabled
box. You can now choose the maximum
amount of the available bandwidth that the low bandwidth replication should utilize.
2.
Select your current or nearest
WAN Speed
from the drop-down menu.
3.
Select a % value from the
Maximum WAN Usage
drop-down menu to choose the percentage of
the bandwidth you wish to use.
Bandwidth limiting is applied to the local source appliance but, when setting the % value, you
should take into account the number of concurrent replication jobs that may be running on the
appliance. For example, if you want 80% of bandwidth used and you have 4 concurrent jobs,
you should set the value to 20%.
4.
The
Bandwidth Limiting value
is a simple calculation of WAN Speed * Maximum % WAN Usage.
