COMMAND
accesses a set of editing functions which may be used to compose and execute short
programming routines .
Ideally , programming commands are executed via HP-IB with the use of a computer . However ,
for times when a computer is not available , the
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
COMMAND softkeys may be used to execute
functions not available at the front panel.
Refer to the HP 70000 Modular Spectrum Analyzer Programming Manual for the spectrum
analyzer functions that cannot be executed with the menu softkeys directly .
A character list is displayed when the
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
COMMAND softkey is pressed. Compose the programming
routine on the data line by selecting characters from the list. Use the front panel knob to
select each character . Refer to Figure 4-3 for the location of the data line and character list.
The 4 8 5 and 4 9 5 step keys move the entry window left and right on the data line . The 4 6 5 key
moves the entry window to beginning of the data line .
