Open the computer.

Insert a thin tool (1) to loosen the tabs on the rear edge of the keyboard (2), and then lift the rear edge
of the keyboard (3).
4.
Swing the rear edge of the keyboard (1) up and forward until it rests upside down on the palm rest.
5.
For models without a pointing stick, remove the metal shield (2) that covers the keyboard zero insertion
force (ZIF) connector.
6.
Release the ZIF connector (3) to which the keyboard cable is attached, and then disconnect the
keyboard cable (4) from the system board.
