7. SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Using a 5mm hex key and an 13mm spanner, remove the
two shoulder bolts attaching the actuators to the elevator
assembly. Allow the actuators to rest on the floor.
2. Using an 8mm hex key, remove the four M10x50 cap
screws (C) from the pivot block tops (D) either side of the
elevator axle (see Detail B).
3. Lift off the pivot block tops (D) and bush halves (E) and
set components aside.
4. Lift the elevator out of the pivot block bottom and slide out
of deck channels.
5. Prepare replacement foot end elevator for assembly:
i. Pull off the two roller bushes (F) from the existing
elevator (see Figure 12).
ii. Grease the inside of the roller bushes and slide
onto the replacement elevator.
iii. Apply the adhesive onto the new end plugs (G)
and hammer into either side of the replacement
elevator axle.
iv. Grease the area where the elevator axle is to sit
inside the pivot block mounts.
v. Grease deck channels.
6. Finish installing the new foot end elevator by reversing the
procedure from step 10 (see caution above).
NOTE:
Use threadlock on all M10 screws and torque to
45 Nm.
7. Conduct a PAT test on the stretcher.
8. Plug the power cord into the mains supply. Verify all
stretcher functions are working correctly before returning
to service.
