7. SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
POWER CORD
S
ummary:
This service instruction outlines the procedure to replace the power cord.
Tools Required:
• 5mm hex key
• small flat blade screw driver
• side cutters
Parts Required:
• 1x power cord
• 2x cable tie
Location:
The power cord is plugged into the control box which is located below the backrest at the head end (HE) of the
deck. Accessible from the underside of the deck.
WARNING:
Ensure all cables are secured away from moving
parts. Use existing cable management routing.
WARNING:
Do not over tighten the cable. Make sure not
to pinch the cable between any components.
Ensure cabling is clear of any sharp edges.
WARNING:
Ensure power cord is secured away from moving parts.
WARNING:
Ensure a portable appliance test is conducted after the
power cord is replaced.
WARNING:
Ensure the power cord is disconnected from the
mains supply before servicing.
WARNING:
Power supply is only to be replaced by service
personnel.
Procedure:
1. Raise the deck to the maximum height position and apply castor
brakes.
2. Remove power cord from cable block.
3. Remove cable ties using side cutters.
4. Remove the power cord plug by pushing in the retaining clips
with a small flat blade screwdriver and pulling out. The retaining
clips are two red pins on either side of the plug port.
5. Reverse the procedure to install the new power cord (see
warning above).
NOTE:
Do not over tighten the cable and ensure the cord is
located correctly in the slot of the cable block.
6. Conduct a PAT test on the stretcher.
7. Plug the power cord into the mains supply. Verify all stretcher
functions are working correctly before returning to service.
