12.7. Collector return sensor
After a volume flow pulse meter is connected, the connection of a collector return sensor can be allocated. This is
allocated in the HMET/FLOW menu under parameter 30-016.
If the value of the collector return temperature is available, this is used instead of the consumer temperature
storage tank bottom for the output calculation and control.

If a flow sensor is connected, the flow rate is
monitored for the set minimum (08-038) and
maximum limit (08-037) and the pump is controlled
using speed control. The flow rate is converted into
a mass flow to take account of the dependency on
temperature. When flow rate measurement is active,
a return sensor TKR can be connected. The return
flow sensor is used as a reference sensor for the
speed control of the solar charging, i.e. xs = TKR +
excess (08-064) and as a switch-off sensor if TKO <
TKR + switch-off difference (08-002) = solar charging
blocked.
