12.4.2.
Collector maximum temperature (08-011)
The collector maximum temperature limit value only functions with active overheating/collector protection.
If the temperature at the collector sensor TKO rises above the collector maximum temperature value TKmax
(08-011), overheating protection is active and the solar pump is activated at 100% speed. The objective is to
maintain the collector maximum temperature TKmax. The pump runs until the protection temperature of the
storage tank TxUprot (08-060) or the protection temperature of the collector TKOprot (08-010) is reached.
Reactivation or enabling normal charging takes place if the collector maximum temperature TKmax is undershot
by 10K.

12.4.3. Collector protection
In addition to the basic function of the controller, it is possible to use a passive and/or active protection function
to protect the plant further against overheating. In the basic function (setting 0), if the "Maximum temperature
storage tank" is exceeded then the solar pump is switched off. A switch-off also takes place if the collector
protection temperature is exceeded. The pump is switched back on after the collector has cooled down 10K
below "Maximum temperature collector".
12.4.4. Collector protection function (08-005)
If the collector temperature rises above the maximum temperature and the storage tank temperature is above the
maximum temperature, the solar pump is operated at 100%. The storage tank is now charged to the "storage tank
protection temperature" (08-060) irrespective of the setting for "storage tank maximum temperature" (08-059).
A switch-off also occurs if the "collector protection temperature" (08-010) is exceeded. Reactivation at 10K below
"collector maximum temperature" (08-011) or if the storage tank temperature drops 5K below "storage tank
protection temperature" (08-060) without the "collector protection temperature" being exceeded.
The collector protection active setting (08-005) is not allowed to be made in conjunction with a storage
tank that has a permitted maximum temperature below 95 °C. Also, it is not permitted for the setting to be
made if there is no scalding protection installed in the drinking water line.
