Coulter pressure adjustment
With the pressure adjustment the coulter pres-
sure can be increased by simply backing out the
screw adjustment.
Placing too much pressure to the coulters will
have the opposite effect and the frame is slightly
lifted by the pressure rollers, or the pressure
rollers will submerge in the soil and the correct
depth setting can no longer be assured.
Adjustment crank handle for coulter pressure adjustment
The settings on the top link and the coulter
pressure adjustment complement and effect
one another.
Changes to the top link mainly effect the drill
depth, but also the coulter pressure and the
press wheels.
Changes to the coulter pressure adjustment
mainly effect coulters and press rollers, but also
have an influence on the drilling depth.
With each alteration one must therefore
check the drilling depth and the effect of
the press rollers on consolidation and
depth guidance.
Depth setting
In order to enable depth setting under drilling con-
ditions, the cultivation tools must be lowered to
working position and the machine must be driven.
¾
Turn the coulter pressure adjustment back to
a lower pressure and open both lock valves
for the top link.
¾
Lower the machine to working position and
slightly extend the top link.
¾
Check the coulter seed depth and the con-
solidation by the press wheels.
¾
If the drilling depth has not been reached,
extend the top link slightly further and adjust
the coulter pressure.
Repeat this procedure until the desired drilling
depth is reached and the correct adjustment of
the press wheel has been found.
In this position you must close both lock valves
for the top link and fill up the piston rod on the
upper link with aluminium clips.
