Both hoppers used for seed
If no fertiliser is to ve placed, both hoppers can
be used for seed.
We recommend to use the "2 x seed" function in
the DrillManager. In this case the computer will
control both metering units in such a way, that
both hoppers will be empty at the same time.
¾
In both Venturi areas switch over the valves
in the air flow for the seed distributor tower
and lock them.
¾
A blind cover must be inserted into he distribu-
tor in the fertiliser hopper, so that the air inside
the pressure tank cannot escape through the
fertiliser hoses.
¾
Set the valve in the air distributor hose in
middle position.
¾
Fit both metering units with cell wheels for
approx. half the seed quantity. If the two are
not identical, install the larger cell wheel into
the rear hopper.
¾
In the terminal "Machine configuration page 1" -
select menu option: "Fertiliser control" -
"2 x seed" and confirm the hopper ratio 60:
40. Then calibrate both metering units - see
"DrillManager" instructions.
The desired seed quantity can alternatively also
be manually distributed to the two metering units.
Hopper and pneumatics in G+F-design
In G+F-design (Grain and Fertiliser) both me
-
tering quantities are meet before the distribu-
tor tower and are then mutually placed in the
coulter.
The G+F-versions can have one or two distribu
-
tor towers installed.
Half-width shut down in G+F-design
With one distributor tower:
see description under
"Half-width shut down
with one distributor tower".
However, in this version both metering quantities
are halved and the settings made in the terminal
must be made for both metering units.
With two distributor towers
In case of two distributor towers the air flow in
the seed hose is divided to both metering units.
The valve must therefore be fixed in the middle.
Both metering units meter seed and fertiliser into
the twin Venturi areas. The distributor valves for
half-width shut down must be positioned exactly
in the middle.
Only symmetric cell rotors must be
used in both metering units.
