Half-width shut down with two
distributor towers
In machine versions with two distributor towers
the half-width shut down in the Pronto 6 AS can
also be switched electrically.
An electric motor adjusts the valve in the Venturi
area. The signals for right or left switching posi-
tion are switched in the motor. Middle position
is monitored by a sensor.
Valve control and signal monitoring takes place
in the DrillManager - see DrillManager instructions.
¾
Switch off the desired half-width in the termi
-
nal. The valve is adjusted - the display flashes.
¾
The seed quantity is halved.
¾
For the drilled area counter the working width
is automatically halved.
¾
Once the valve is in right or left switching po-
sition, the switched off half width disappears
from the display.
Seed flow monitoring with half-width shut
down
Seed flow monitoring is automatically switched off.
Twin hopper / pneumatics
On the Pronto 6 AS the twin hopper has a ca-
pacity of 5000 litres.
The hoppers are divided in the ratio 40:60.
The twin hopper is designed as pressurized
hopper and must be closed and tightly sealed
before the placement of seed.
Leaks with a loss of air will cause sowing faults.
The placing quantity will drop, possibly down
to zero.
Whenever opening the hoppers, they must be
checked for leak tightness with the fan running.
Switch on the fan and feel with your hands
around the lid and listen for escaping air.
In case of leaks replace the seals or readjust
hinges and locks.
If the twin hoppers are used to transport fertiliser
over a longer or bumpy distance, the fertiliser
may solidify inside the hoppers.
This may cause heavy starting of the metering unit
and there is a danger of bridging in the hopper.
The fertiliser must in this case be re-
turned to a flowing state, before it is
placed.
