Piping
z
The size of the sampling tube for the half union attached on the measuring cell should be
φ
8 mm
×
φ
6 mm. If you do not use the half union you have to provide a joint with R1/8
thread.
z
The flow control valve should be provided in the sampling line to control the flow rate
within 0.1 L/min to 0.5 L/min to the measuring cell. This valve will be closed when a
maintenance works are proceeded. If the optional flow switch is provided the sampling
flow rate should be higher than 0.3L/min. Refer to “ Option unit ” (page 15).
z
If the sample water includes suspended solid, remove them by a string wound filter 100
μ
m rating installed between the flow control valve and the measuring cell. Refer to “
Option unit ” (page 15).
z
Sampling water should never be frozen. If freezing might happen take care for the
sampling pipes and the measuring cell to be free from freezing.
J
Sample inlet piping
z
The flow control valve should be provided in the sample inlet line to control the flow rate.
z
Sample water from a line in which there is less flow rate fluctuation.
z
Be sure to provide a bypass line to the piping line. If no bypass line is provided, it will be
necessary to stop the entire equipment when performing maintenance/replacement.
z
If dirt or any solid matter is mixed in the sample water, provide an optional winding filter
(100
μ
m).
z
Use vinyl chloride piping. When installing it, make it as short as possible so that it will not
be bent.
z
Install the piping in a location where the sample water will not freeze.
If there is a
possibility of freezing, take a freeze prevention measure for the measurement section and
piping.
CAUTION
Take extra care when installing the sample inlet piping. If the piping is disengaged when the pressure
increases with the operation of the flow rate adjustment valve, serious accidents may occur.
