J
Transmission output
z
The terminal screws of the input/transmission output are M3.5 type.
z
The applicable electric wire is 2 mm
2
(AWG14) max.
z
For the transmission output cable, use a shielded cable.
Note
z
The maximum load resistance of the transmission output is 900
Ω
.
z
Negative terminals OUT1 (
−
) and OUT2 (
−
) of the transmission output channel are connected
internally and thus have the same electrical potential.
J
Connecting the contact input terminal and flow switch input terminal
z
The applicable electric wire is of 0.14 mm
2
to 2.5 mm
2
(AWG26 to AWG14).
z
For the cables for contact input and flow switch input, use a twisted pair shielded cable.
z
If there is a risk of lightning strike, install an arrester on the output side and receiving
instrument side of the converter.
z
To terminate the cable, strip 11 mm of the coating from the tip of the cable and connect it
to the terminal.
Note
z
The resistance for the contact input should be below 100
Ω
.
z
For the flow switch input cable, use a dedicated shielded cable.
z
The flow switch signal must be connected to the EXT.IN1.
Tip
z
When a contact input terminal is short-circuited, the EXT1 and EXT2 indicator in the display area
lights up.
z
The contact of the flow switch will be opened when the flow drops.
WARNING
If there is a possibility of a lightning strike, install an arrester on the output side and receiving
instrument side of the converter.
