Set the excitation wavelength.
In this example, for rhodamine 101 in ethanol, we
Park
the excitation
monochromator at 545 nm, with a bandpass of 1 nm.

Set the emission wavelength range to include both excitation light and
the likely or expected range of sample luminescence.
In this case, because the CCD correction factor was collected using the
center wavelength of 700 nm, we measure the range of 290 nm (to in-
clude excitation at 545 nm) to 1100 nm, based on the
Center Wave-
length
of the CCD used in the iHR detector. (A photomultiplier tube de-
tector has slightly different parameters to set.)
