Adjust gap between magnetic pickup and screw to 0.04 in.
NOTE: Make sure sensor cables are free to move so that sensor movement is not inhibited.
4.3.2 Power-Up Self-Test
Built-In Test (BIT) is always initiated upon power-up, and may also be initiated through the
Display Program. To initiate BIT through the Display Program, pull down the
Test AU menu and
select Initiated BIT . BIT performs an extensive check of the AU hardware and software, and also
tests many of the sensors connected to the AU.
BIT results are stored in the vxpfault.log file and may be saved or viewed on the DU, or printed on
the serial printer. The fault log may be viewed on the DU as follows:
1. Drop down the View Logs menu.
2. Select System Faults and click on the Download/View button.
3. In the Message from View Log window, click on the Detail button.
The fault log will be displayed on the screen. To print the fault log on the serial printer:
1. Pull down the File menu and select the AU printer, or click on the Print Icon on
the left side of the display.
2. Select Fault Log from the Print Menu.
