Data Format Non-Match Error Tone
When a bar code is encountered that doesn’t match your required data format, the scanner normally generates an error
tone. However, you may want to continue scanning bar codes without hearing the error tone. If you scan the
Data Format
Non-Match Error Tone Off
bar code, data that doesn’t conform to your data format is not transmitted, and no error tone will
sound. If you wish to hear the error tone when a non-matching bar code is found, scan the
Data Format Non-Match Error
Tone On
bar code.
Default = Data Format Non-Match Error Tone On.
Primary/Alternate Data Formats
You can save up to four data formats, and switch between these formats. Your primary data format is saved under
0
. Your other
three formats are saved under
1
,
2
, and
3
. To set your device to use one of these formats, scan one of the bar codes below.
Single Scan Data Format Change
You can also switch between data formats for a single scan. The next bar code is scanned using an alternate data format,
then reverts to the format you have selected above (either Primary, 1, 2, or 3).
