You can open and close the tailgate
with the remote transmitter. When
you push the tailgate button once for
approximately one second, the
tailgate starts opening. Push the
button again for about one second,
the tailgate will begin to close.
Each time you press the button, you
will hear a beep and all outside turn
signals flash four times. You can open and close the tailgate
with the switch on the dashboard.
When you push the switch once for
more than one second, the tailgate
starts opening. Push the switch again
for more than one second to close
the tailgate. Each time you press the
switch, you will hear a beep and all
outside turn signals flash four times.
In case of using the remote
transmitter, you can operate the
power tailgate without the key in the
ignition switch. In case of using the
dashboard switch, you can operate
the tailgate with the ignition switch
in any position, but with the key in
the ignition switch. In addition, the
following conditions are required.
On vehicles with automatic
transmission, the shift lever must
be in Park.
The tailgate is fully-closed.
The tailgate is unlocked.
To open the tailgate:
The tailgate is fully-open.
To close the tailgate:
On vehicle with manual
transmission, apply the parking
brake.
