Pour the drained oil into a suitable container and dispose of it in an
approved manner (page 231).

5. Reinstall the drain bolt and sealing washer, and tighten the bolt

to the specified torque:

22 lb·ft (29 N·m, 3.0 kgf·m)

6. Lower your Honda SXS safely.
7. Fill the sub-transmission case with the recommended oil,

approximately:

1.27 US qt (1.2 ℓ)

8. Insert the dipstick without screwing it in, then remove the oil fill

cap/dipstick and check the oil level. Make sure the oil is between
the upper level mark and lower level mark on the dipstick. If
necessary, add more oil but do not overfill.

9. Reinstall the oil fill cap/dipstick.

10. Reinstall the front seat.
11. Check that there are no oil leaks.

If a torque wrench is not used for installation, see your dealer as
soon as possible to verify proper assembly.
