Preparation
Before starting, insert the key, turn the ignition
switch ON and confirm the following:
• The gearshift is in neutral.
The relative neutral indicator light illuminates.
• The engine stop switch is set to (RUN).
• The engine oil pressure indicator
is
illuminated.
• The ABS indicator light is illuminated (see
page 18 – only for CBF500A)
The low oil pressure indicator should go off a
few seconds after the engine starts. If the light
keeps flash during operation, stop the engine
immediately and check the engine oil level.
Operating the engine with insufficient oil
pressure can cause serious engine damage.
