19.3
Adjusting the milling unit
19.3.1
Swivel milling unit vertically
The milling unit can be swivelled 180° (± 90°).
Loosen (but do not unscrew!) the three hexagon nuts (M) on
the turntable and turn the machine head to the desired position
with the aid of the supplied square wrench (K).
Then retighten the hexagon nuts firmly.
19.3.2
Swivel the milling unit horizontally
The milling unit can be tilted horizontally 360° around its
own axis. To swivel the milling unit horizontally, first loosen
the fixing levers (on the opposite side) and then the 4
clamping nuts (1). Then put the crank handle (15) on the
square-head screw (2) and turn it in the desired position.
Finally retighten the square-head screws and the fixing
lever.
19.3.3
Micro feed
To activate the microfeed of the vertical milling spindle,
release the lock lever (19) on the left side of the headstock,
then tighten the right-hand handle (2) and turn the
handwheel (1) in front of the headstock to realize the
microfeed.
19.4
Spindle sleeve return spring
The spindle sleeve is retrieved by a spiral spring. This is
located on the opposite side of the lever manual spindle
sleeve feed (4). To access the leaf spring, remove the cover
(1).
CAUTION! Remove the cap slowly and keep the engagement
and distance to the opening so that the spring cannot cause
injuries in case of possible relaxation or unforeseeable
jumping out!
19.5
Setting spindle speed
NOTICE
Never change the direction of rotation or speed, as long as the motor / spindle is not
at a complete standstill! Changing the direction of rotation / of speed during
operation may lead to the destruction of components.
