B. Footswitch Assembly Replacement
Read carefully and utilize the check boxes to ensure all steps are performed. See figures below
for assistance.
Removal (with the console powered off)
□
1) Completely unwrap and remove footswitch cord from cord management plate.
□
2) Disconnect upper and lower footswitch connectors by pulling out the top lock collar and
pushing in the bottom lock collar. Once disconnected, place footswitch in Suros box and
return to Suros for evaluation.
Installing New Footswitch Assembly (with the console powered off)

3) Connect footswitch connectors so that the connectors point toward the back of the
console.

4) Wrap the footswitch counterclockwise around cord management plate.
Verification of Installation

5) Turn console power on.
□
6) An audible console beep will be heard; it will then default to the biopsy mode.
□
7) Plug the tip of the vacuum line assembly with thumb or finger.
□
8) Depress footswitch and hold until solid green vacuum ready light is acquired.
□
9) Check for solid green vacuum ready light, the console audible beep at the end of each
cycle and cycling of the pinch valve.
□
10) Release footswitch pedal and verify that the solid green vacuum light turns off and
cycling stops.
