3.6.2  Vacuum Line Bulkhead Fitting

Bulkhead Fitting 
 

1.  Check the retention of the Vacuum Line Assembly (from the Preventative 

Maintenance Kit) in the bulkhead fitting by lightly tugging vertically with approximately 
7 pounds of force (the force required to open an inside door) on the Vacuum Line 
Assembly.

!!! Warning !!!

  DO NOT TWIST (this can cause seal damage) 

2.  If the Vacuum Line Assembly slides away from the light gray retention ring more than 

1/16” while tugging on Vacuum Line Assembly, then replace the Vacuum Line 
Bulkhead Union fitting.

1.  Remove vacuum line assemblies from both top (outside console) and underside 

(inside console) of the vacuum line bulkhead union fitting by pressing and holding the 
gray ring and pulling on the tube. 

2.  Loosen bulkhead union fitting using a 24mm socket wrench on top side. 
3.  Line up the flat notch of the nut with the flat on the underside of the console.  
4.  Insert the bulkhead union fitting through the top of the console and thread.   
5.  Hand-tighten with a 24mm socket wrench.   
6.  Reattach the vacuum line assemblies on both top and underside to the new vacuum 

line bulkhead union fitting.
