7. Ensure the two ends of “U” shaped lock arm are facing towards the front

3.6.12 Sponges Replacement

1. Remove each of the sponges. If sponge is dry and hard, dampen slightly with tap
water to prevent sponge material contamination.
2. Vacuum or sweep out any remaining sponge particles.
3. Make a small 1” incision in each of the ends of the new sponges for mounting.
4. Compress each sponge and let them expand into place between bottom port of air
dryer and baseplate.
a. SR6154-01 (large sponge) goes under the air dryer on the right. It should be
positioned long-wise from the left to the right.
b. SR6154-02 (small sponge) goes under the air dryer on the left. It should be
positioned long-wise from the front to the back.
5. The sponge’s own compression should hold it in place with the additional lateral
support of the vertical threaded stud coming up from the baseplate. If the threaded
stud is missing, replace with a SR6247-01 10-32 x 1” SH SS Screw, SR6227-01 #10
SS Lock Washer, and SR6224-01 #10 SS Lock Nut.
