Electric Patio Awning (Optional)
The awning operates from 12 Volt DC supplied by the battery. Ensure the battery is charged or
hook to shore power.
To Extend the Awning:
Press and hold the awning switch to Extend.
Allow awning to extend fully then retract slightly until fabric fascia hangs vertical.
To Retract the Awning:
Press and hold the awning switch to Retract.
Allow awning to fully retract.
NOTE:
Awning motor does not stop automatically at end of travel.
The switch must be released.
CAUTION:
Retract awning in inclement weather. Severe damage to the
awning and/or motorhome may result. If wind or extended
periods of rain are expected, retract the awning and secure
for travel. Storm related damage is not covered under
warranty.
NOTE:
The awning does not have a carport feature.
To Adjust Pitch:
Extend awning full distance.
Loosen lock knob on inner rafter.
Pull down on awning roll tube to compress strut then tighten knob.
Troubleshooting
If the awning does not retract when the switch is pressed:
Ensure battery is charged or hook to shore power. If shore power is
unavailable, start the vehicle to supply battery power.
Check the domestic fuse panel for a blown fuse.
Check electrical connection at awning.
Emergency Retract:
The awning can be retracted in case of emergency. This requires two
people.
Insert supplied awning pull strap into slot of awning roll tube.
Have assistant loosen screws at points indicated. This will
disengage motor drive allowing struts to retract the awning to the
stowed position.
Tighten top screw to prevent awning from extending during transit.
Take the motorhome to qualified repair center.
