Tips:
When cooking at an altitude above 5,000 feet, the flame may change appearance and the flame BTU
output will be lowered. Allow extra cooking time.
Do not allow the tips of the flame to extend beyond pan or pot edge.
Carefully place strips of aluminum foil on the cooktop floor pan and under burners. Do not restrict air flow
of mixture tubes.
Care & Cleaning
Clean all surfaces as soon as possible after boil overs or spills.
The top burner grate is attached to the cooktop cover with rubber grommets at each corner. Pull up to
separate burner grate from cooktop cover for cleaning.
The cooktop cover is secured by two back clips. To remove the cover push with thumb and palm on back
ridge of the top to slide the top back. Lift up on front corner for removal.
Use only warm soapy water to clean the burner grates, cooktops, painted surfaces, porcelain surfaces,
stainless steel surfaces and plastic items on your cooktop. Do not use grit or acid-type cleaners.
Do not use steel wool or abrasive cleaners. They will damage your cooktop. Use only non-abrasive plastic
scrubbing pads.
Do not allow foods containing acids (such as lemon or tomato juice, or vinegar) to remain on porcelain or
painted surfaces. Acids may remove the glossy finish. Wipe up egg spills when cooktop is cool.
Do not wash warm porcelain surfaces. Allow these areas to cool before cleaning.
Oven (Optional)
The cooktop range uses propane only as a fuel source. The top burners use a piezo type igniter. The cooktop
should be used for cooking purposes only and not as a heating source. When the burner valve is opened the fuel
source flows thorough the valve into the mixture tube. The fuel passes by a hole or venturi in the mixture tube,
which draws air in with the fuel for a proper fuel/air ratio. The flame should have a blue appearance with a lighter
blue defined flame at the burner head. A yellow flame or yellow tips indicates a rich fuel mixture, which can leave
a black color of carbon on the bottom of the pot or pan.
WARNING:
If you smell gas, extinguish all open flames and turn off the main gas supply. Liquid propane is highly
volatile, highly explosive and extremely dangerous. Explosion, fire, property damage, injury or death
can result. Propane is a “heavy” gas and will lay on the floor and “hide” in corners. Open all windows
and doors. Do not touch any electrical switches. They may cause a spark which can ignite. Contact
a qualified service center to have the problem correctly diagnosed and repaired before resuming
operation.
WARNING:
Do not heat motorhome interior with range or oven. Gas combustion
consumes oxygen inside the motorhome. Extinguish all pilots when
refueling or traveling.
Lighting the Oven Pilot
1. Rotate oven control knob counterclockwise to
Pilot On
. Push oven
control knob inward to allow propane to flow to pilot.
2. Light oven pilot located near the back of the oven, under the broiler
shelf and to the right of the oven burner (see picture). Once pilot is lit, continue to hold oven control
knob inward for a few seconds to heat thermocouple. Once heated, the thermocouple will allow pilot to
remain lit.
4. Leave oven control knob to
pilot on
to maintain pilot flame. The oven pilot requires no further
adjustment. The oven and broiler are now ready for operation.
5. Rotate oven control knob to desired temperature.
6. To extinguish the oven pilot, push in oven control knob and rotate clockwise to
Off
.
