WARNING:
The exterior area must be clear of obstructions that can restrict slide room operation. Ensure there
are five or more feet of clear space outside the slideout room prior to extending the room or damage
to the slideout, the motorhome or property can occur. When retracting the slideout room, ensure
there is sufficient clearance inside the motorhome. Move the driver or passenger seat forward before
activating the slide room.
CAUTION:
If a problem with the slideout occurs, contact a qualified technician.
Troubleshooting
If the slideout room does not operate, a safety feature may be engaged to prevent room operation.
If the slideout does not respond from the switch:
Ensure ignition key is off.
Ensure the park brake is applied.
Make sure the locking bar is removed.
House battery disconnect switch is on.
House batteries are fully charged.
Manual Override
Two types of slideout systems are used. The direct drive system is located below the slideout. The cable
operated slideout mechanism is located inside above the slideout affixed to the wall. Both systems use a 12 Volt
DC motor to operate the slideout.
Direct Drive System:
Turn off both the chassis and house disconnect switches.
Locate the motor and disconnect the slideout motor electrical
plug to remove 12 Volt DC power from the slideout motor. The
plug can be located by following wires that run from the motor
to the plug.
Use a wrench to turn driveshaft or emergency drive mechanism
located on the end of the motor and retract room.
Once the slide room is manually retracted, apply pressure to the
wrench to firmly set the room and prevent room drift.
Take the motorhome to an authorized repair center.
CAUTION:
Do not continue to turn the motor after the room is fully
extended or retracted. Damage to the slide mechanism can
occur.
